Goa Carnival 2025 is set to be one of the biggest and most vibrant celebrations in the state. Known for its colorful parades, lively music, and grand street performances, the festival attracts thousands of locals and tourists every year.
The Carnival will start from the New Patto bridge at 4 p.m in Panaji and wind its through to the Campal ground. You can view the parade anywhere along the scenic route adjacent to the Mandovi river.
With its roots in Portuguese traditions, the Goa Carnival is a unique blend of Goan culture, extravagant floats, dance, and merrymaking.

King Momo is a mythical figure who leads the Goa Carnival parade and symbolizes the festival's joy and merrymaking. He the centerpiece of the Carnival parade and is chosen based on his physical appearance and ability to embody the spirit of Carnival.
From vibrant parades and street parties to traditional dances, live music, and local delicacies, the Goa Carnival is an experience like no other.
Highlights of Goa Carnival 2025:
-February 28 (Friday) – Porvorim (this year cancelled due to road repairs).
-March 1 (Saturday) – Panaji (Opening Parade)
-March 2 (Sunday) – Margao (Traditional Dekhnni dances)
-March 3 (Monday) – Vasco da Gama
-March 4 (Tuesday) – Mapusa & Morjim
